About Mary

Hi, I'm Mary. My journey working with special needs children started when I was 16. While still in high school, the first job I worked was as a caregiver in a home for special needs children.

That experience made an everlasting impression on my heart and I kept going back throughout high school and in college whenever I was on a break. I was certain that I wanted to proceed in this line of work after college.

Over 50 years later, I’m still passionate about helping these children and their parents live their best lives.

I’ve worked with special needs children as a teaching assistant, a special education teacher, and by the time I was retiring in 2017, I also had experience as an administrator in both the public and private school systems.

But even after retiring, I knew I was not finished and that my mission was not yet complete. Since then, I’ve made it my lifelong duty to continue supporting families to welcome special needs children in their lives and help them navigate the journey as they guide their children into being the best they can be.

I know that too often, parents take on everything in their child’s life hoping to give them the best. But I also know that this approach causes strain and frustration for everyone involved.
